South Coast Businesses Roto Tank and Industrial Supply Centre ‘Making a Difference’
The Green Net’s Vukuzenzele Gardens project now have a rainwater harvesting solution with 5000 litres of water to nourish their veggies.
Roto Tank, who manufacture right here in Port Shepstone, donated a 5000 litre tank and Industrial Supple Centre, our local rainwater harvesting, storage and filtration specialists, did the on-site installation and provided the manpower, pipes and fittings. Community outreach and volunteer tourism possibilities within The Green Net
Do your bit to restore the natural beauty of the South Coast and improve life for local communities!
The Green Net provides environmental education and carries out a wide range of local community projects. These include community organic food gardens, school projects (incorporating food gardening, recycling, EcoBricks, and off-grid power solutions) and urban greening. Locals and visitors alike, are invited to help The Green Net with various cleaning and greening activities on a volunteer basis.

COMMUNITY FOOD GARDENS: PILOT PROJECT LOUISIANA
The Vukuzenzele Community Food Gardens came into being during the coronavirus lockdown of 2020. Members of The Green Net, aware of the economic difficulties of those who had lost their incomes during the national lockdown, decided to assist a church in Umtentweni with their feeding programme.
